Exporting Contacts Overview
Need your contact data outside Harness — for a backup, a mailing house, or your own records? You can export your contacts to a CSV from Settings › Import & Export. Everything you've imported comes back out, so your data round-trips cleanly.
This article covers the new CRM & Email experience (your left navigation shows CRM and Email). If your left nav shows Contacts and no Email item, this feature isn't part of your account.
Export Your Contacts
Go to Settings › Import & Export.
Choose Export contacts.
Harness generates a CSV and downloads it to your computer.
Good to know: your export includes all the fields you've imported, so what you put in is what you get back out.

Q: What's included in the export?
A: Your contacts and their fields, including everything you imported.
Q: What format is the file?
A: A CSV, which opens in Excel, Google Sheets, or any spreadsheet tool.
Q: Can I export donations or segments too?
A: Exports are focused on contacts for now. If you need other data out, chat with us and we'll help.
