How to Use Your Campaigns Report

Learn about the data available in your campaigns report

Campaigns Report Overview

Your Campaigns Report (found under Reports > Campaigns) lets you quickly and easily see which campaigns your donors are designating their gifts toward.

What Information is Available?

Campaigns Report Data Fields

The Campaigns Report provides you with a view of any and all donations that your organization has received through Harness during any period of time. However, unlike your Donations Report, the information available is less detailed and focuses more specifically on which campaigns were given to. While viewing the report within your Harness Dashboard, you will be able to see:

  • Donation date & time

  • Donor's name

  • Donor's email address

  • Donation type (one-time, monthly, or Round-Ups)

  • Payment method type (credit card, bank transfer, cash, check, etc.)

  • Total donation amount

  • Campaign

Applying a Date Range Filter

If you would like to view donations received over a specific period of time, use the date range filter in the upper-righthand corner to select a preset timeframe or a custom date range.

Applying a Campaign Filter

You can also apply a campaign filter to see donations designated to a specific campaign. To do this use the drop-down menu in the upper-righthand corner next to the date range filter and select the campaign that you would like to see donations for.

Donations with 2 hyphens ( -- )ย  shown as the campaign name are donations that were given to your Area of Greatest Need (learn more here).

How to Edit Donations

The Campaigns Report enables you to edit a donor's gift if they mistakenly donated to the wrong campaign.*

To edit a donation, start by locating the donation that needs to be edited. This can quickly and easily be done by applying the date range filter. You can also apply a campaign filter if you know which campaign the donor mistakenly gave to.

Once the donation has been located, select the 3 dots to the right of the donation, then select the Edit Campaign option.

How to edit which campaign a donor gave to

You will then be able to edit which of your Campaigns the donation was attributed to. Confirm your changes by using the Save Changes button.

Changing a donation's campaign designation

*For Monthly and Round-Ups donations, editing the campaign through the Campaigns Report will not change which campaign the donation is applied to going forward. If the donation should be applied to a different campaign in the future, you will need to edit the gift through the Monthly Report or Round-Ups Report respectively.

Downloading the Campaigns Report

Your Campaigns Report can be downloaded by selecting the Download Report option in the upper-righthand corner. You will have two options of the report format that you can download: PDF or CSV/Excel.
