Monthly Report Overview
Your Monthly Report (found under Reports > Monthly) provides you with a way to view and manage your active monthly donations.
What Information is Available?
Monthly Report Data Fields
The Monthly Report provides you with a view of all active, canceled, and failed monthly donations. While viewing the report within your Harness Dashboard, you will be able to see:
Donation created & time
Donor's name
Donor's email address
Donation amount
Number of gifts (how many times the monthly donation has been processed)
Next donation date (when the monthly gift will process again)
Total donated (the cumulative amount this donor has given with this monthly gift)
Monthly Report Summary
On the right side of the page you will also see a summary that shows the total amount of monthly donations your current monthly donors will contribute in the current month. Here you can also see:
Total number of "subscriptions" (active monthly donations)
Total number of gifts (how many monthly donations you have received to date)
Total donated (sum of all monthly donations received to date)
Searching for Donations
To search for a specific donor by first or last name, use the 'Search by name...' box in the upper-right corner.
Active vs Failed vs Canceled Tabs
To see your active, failed, or canceled* monthly donations, select the respective tab above the report details.
The active tab shows all monthly donations that are currently active (have not failed or been canceled). The failed and canceled tabs show donations that are no longer active either because the donor canceled their monthly gift, or because the donor's gift failed for a variety of reasons (such as insufficient funds or their credit/debit card or bank account is no longer open). To see the exact reason that a donor's gift failed, visit your Stripe account's transactions/payments section, and check the failed section.
*Donors who delete their card on file will have all monthly donations connected to that card automatically deleted, effectively canceling their monthly gift. However, deleting the card linked to the monthly gift is not considered to be canceling the monthly gift, so these donations will not appear on the canceled tab (or in your monthly report at all).
If the donor intends to move their existing monthly donation to a new payment method, they must do the following in this exact order:

Delete the old payment method (if needed)
To confirm if a donor deleted the card linked to their monthly gift, check their donor account using the View as Donor tool, and look up their prior monthly donations in your Stripe account's transactions/payments section to determine the last 4 digits of the card that was used.
How to Cancel Monthly Donations
The Monthly Report provides you with the ability to cancel a donor's monthly gift.
To cancel a monthly donation, start by locating the donation that needs to be canceled. This can quickly and easily be done by using the search box to look up the donor by name.
Once the donation has been located, select the three dots to the right of the donation, then select the Cancel Gift option.
As a safeguard, you will then be asked to confirm that you wish to cancel the monthly donation. Use the Cancel Monthly Gift button to confirm the cancellation.
How to Edit Monthly Donations
The Monthly Report enables you to edit a donor's gift if they mistakenly donated to the wrong campaign*, or have requested for a donation note to be added or changed.
To edit a monthly donation, start by locating the donation that needs to be edited. This can quickly and easily be done by using the search box to look up the donor by name.
Once the donation has been located, select the 3 dots to the right of the donation, then select the Edit Gift option.
You will then be able to edit which of your Campaigns the donation was attributed to, add or make changes to the donation Note/Comment, and set if the donation note is displayed publicly on your fundraising pages. Confirm your changes by using the Save Changes button.
Other options for editing a donor's monthly gift such as changing the donation date or amount are unavailable through your Harness Dashboard. However, donors can make these changes on their own by logging into their personal donor dashboard from any of your Harness fundraising pages, and you can make these changes on behalf of the donor using the View as Donor tool.
*Editing the campaign through the Monthly Report will change which campaign the donation is applied to going forward, but does not retroactively update monthly donations that were already processed. If prior donations need to be moved to a different campaign, locate and edit those past donations in your Donations Report.
Downloading the Monthly Report
Your Monthly Report can be downloaded by selecting the Download Report option in the upper-righthand corner. You will have two options of the report format that you can download: PDF or CSV/Excel. Both versions of the report provide the same information, just in different file formats.

When downloading your Monthly Report, only donations specific to the tab you're viewing (active, failed, canceled, or all) and donor name filters will be exported. While viewing the "All" tab with no donor name filter applied, all active, failed, and canceled monthly donations will be downloaded.
FAQs
Q: How do I convert a monthly gift to a one-time donation?
A: While a monthly gift cannot be converted into a one-time gift, the monthly gift can be canceled (following these steps) to stop it from processing again.
Canceling a monthly gift will stop all future charges but will not refund any previous donations. If you need to issue a refund, you can do that through your Donations report (following these steps).
Q: Why is a donor's monthly gift no longer showing in any of the tabs in the monthly report?
A: The donor likely deleted their card on file without first moving their monthly gift to a new payment method. When this happens, the donor's gift is effectively canceled, but will not appear on the canceled tab since they did not actually cancel their gift.

Q: A donor created a monthly donation using a bank transfer as their payment method. Why is their donation not appearing in the monthly report?
A: Donors who use a bank transfer (ACH) as their payment method for a monthly donations must first verify their bank account before their monthly gift can be processed. Once they have successfully verified their bank account and their gift is processed, it will appear in your monthly report.
