What are Boosts?

What are Boosts?

Boosts are an optional way to help the organizations you support receive 100% of every one-time donation. When you add a Boost at checkout, you're helping cover processing fees so more money goes directly to their mission. This means if another donor does not cover fees, the nonprofit still receives 100% of every one-time donation, thanks to your generosity.

How does Boosting work?

When you donate a one-time gift, you'll see an option to add a Boost at checkout—an additional amount (0-20%) you can add on top of your donation. Your Boost helps cover processing fees across donations to the organization.

Is Boosting required?

Nope. Boosting is entirely voluntary.

Where does my Boost go?

Your Boost helps cover processing fees across donations to the organization. This means if another donor does not cover fees, the nonprofit still receives 100% of every one-time donation, thanks to your generosity.

Can I change the Boost amount before donating?

Absolutely. You can adjust the Boost percentage (0-20%) or remove it completely at checkout before completing your donation.

Are Boosts tax-deductible?

No. Boosting is not a charitable donation—it's an optional payment to help cover processing costs. Only your donation to the nonprofit is tax-deductible.

Why am I seeing this now?

The nonprofit you're supporting has enabled Boosts to help maximize the impact of every donation. It's a new way for supporters like you to help them keep more of what they raise.

What types of donations can I Boost my gift on?

Currently, Boosting is only offered on one-time donations made through debit or credit card.
